Synopsis ~
Elaine "Ellie" Harrison has just moved from Minnesota to Annapolis, Maryland while her parents take a year long sabbatical to continue their medieval studies in nearby DC. Her new high school, Avalon High, seems like a typical high school with the stereotypical students: Lance the jock, Jennifer the cheerleader, Marco, the bad boy/desperado, and Will, the senior class president, quarterback, and all around good guy. But not everyone at Avalon High is who they appear to be, not even Ellie herself.
Eventually, it becomes apparent that Avalon High is a situation where the ancient Arthurian legend is repeating itself. Will, Jennifer, Lance, Marco, and Mr. Morton all correspond to King Arthur, Queen Guinevere, Knight Lancelot, Mordred, and Merlin, respectively. As for Ellie, Mr. Morton and Marco misinterpret her as Elaine, the Lady of Shalott, who, in the legend, falls in love with Lancelot yet commits suicides due to her spurned love.
As Jennifer betrays Will to get together with Lance, the downfall of Will begins, like in the legend where Camelot falls due to the betrayal of Guinevere and Lancelot. Originally, Mr. Morton pairs Ellie with Lance, in hopes that Ellie would attract Lance away from Jennifer, therefore thwarting the betrayal of Will. However, when this plan fails, Mr. Morton tells Ellie to escape when she can, since she apparently no longer has a role in the crisis. Mr. Morton himself says that he is going to Tahiti. Nevertheless, Ellie manages to convince Mr. Morton to stay and help out the people.
As a result, Mr. Morton brings in Mrs. Wagner (Will's stepmother) and Will to prompt the confession of Mrs. Wagner. She reveals that Will's stepbrother is really his half-brother making her his real mother. He brought them in to attempt to clear up the family feud and thwart the dark forces from killing Will. However, this only results in the appearance of Marco and Marco learns the truth about his mother as well.
Then, Marco loses control, jumps out of the school’s window, and Will follows him. This triggers the dark forces and suddenly, a seemingly supernatural storm appears. Everybody is rushed home, including Ellie. Ellie stays at home, worrying about what will happen to Will and Marco since they have seemingly disappeared. She receives a call from Will’s mom, revealing that Marco has broken into the gun case and may possibly kill Will. As a result, she realizes that Will must be at his regular hide out, the ravine. She grabs the medieval sword in her father’s study (her father was studying it as a scholar) and runs to the ravine, despite the numerous obstacles that the dark forces throw at her (including a large car, rain, and hail). She reaches the ravine and Marco also shows up, holding up a gun. However, at the last moment, Ellie gives Will the sword and Marco loses courage when he sees the sword. It is revealed that Ellie is not Elaine, the lady of Shallott. Instead, she is the Lady of the Lake who saved Arthur by giving him the sword of Excalibur and eventually brought him to Avalon, to refuge. At the end of the book Will and Ellie get together and Will comes to live with her because his dad kicked him out of the house.
This story is really something...even though it's a romance story, it's more to adventure...until the last few pages.....Trust me this story will make you to read until it finishes....Coz I couldn't sleep at night when I only finishes half of the book.....sad isn't it....

Synopsis ~
Samantha Madison, a talented drawer and a teenager...One day, her cheerleader of a sister Lucy , told their mom that Sam is drawing during German class...Their mom decided to send Sam to art Class...can it get any worst...On her first day, she meet a boy, David who's her age and makes a comment on her boots and attending Susan Boone's art class....What could go wrong anyway?? Her first task is to draw a pile of fruits on the table and Sam added a pineapple and resulting critics from Susan Boone...The next time when she went to the art studio, it was raining cats and dogs...in oder to dry her self before going back to studio, Sam went to Static, a CD shop just above Susan Boone's art class and got distracted...She also realizes a guy keep on listening to Billy Joel's Uptown Girl over and over again, so she decided to nickname him Mr. Uptown Girl. After when she came down from Static, it's also the same time when the art class finishes...While waiting for her ride, she saw the President Of The UN's car and Mr. Uptown Girl is trying to kill the President of the UN..Sam quickly pushes Mr. Uptown Girl down and saves the Presidents life. The reason why Larry Wayne Rogers (Mr. Uptown Girl) wanted to kill the President is because to impress the celebrity with whom he was obsessed with for many years-Billy Joel's es-wife, the model Christino Brinkly-Later she also realizes why David looks familiar, He's the president's son..Furthermore David seems to be interested in Sam but Sam has a major crush on Lucy's boyfriend, Jack.
This story is a real laugh-out-loud type of story and readers will want to read the sequel of the story that is All American Girl:Ready Or Not. Trust me it's so funny when she compare her self with her idols(Gwen Steffani), Sister and other stuff....Did I mention I fell out of the bed while laughing and my dad thinks I'm crazy for laughing so hard for no reason....
The next review is a story review on the 30th of May....hehe enjoy....Just so you know

Story review for 16th of May 2009

16/05/2009- Hey Romeo, Don't You Think You're A Tad Bit Overrated

Synopsis -
Aurelie Chevalier, a typical teenage girl who's living a normal life and studying at a normal school. In the first chapter, we found out that Aurelie lost both of her parents in a car crash while she's attending school and was sent to an orphanage. 2 months later, a couple came and visits her their names were David and Rachel McAllister. Turns out they want to adopt her. Did I mention David is the founder of an academy, McAllister Academy, one of the top ten school in America. On her first day at the academy, she got lost and was late to class resulting a detention by the school hot prefect, Camaxtli Gallagher. During recess, she meets a guy named Will Harrison and did I mention he's gay??? She also meets with Bethany Ross and Alyssa, both being Will's friend. The next day during recess, she was hit by a football thanks to Max Austerlitz and they quickly became friends after going to the nurses office of course. She also found out that the Lacrosse team captain is Camaxtli and furthermore, Cam wont stop bugging her. Who will she end up loving? Camaxtli Gallagher or Max Austerlitz? Wait till you read the end coz the ending will left readers wanting for more...

I really like this story coz it's very funny and I absolutely love the ending it's somehow sad but happy at the same time and the ending is 100% not like the play Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare. This story is so unique that you'll never expect the ending. Try reading it, you won't regret it. I promise.
Next review is English Story Book review on the 26th of May 2009 and the next story review will be on the 30th of May 2009...just so you know...

This is getting better....and good news

The U.C.A blog is going to be improved....I, as the secretary or the U.C.A will post a story review twice a month, Anime review twice per month, Japanese Drama review once per month, English Story Book review once per month, and Movie preview at every last day of the month....we may add in a few extras during the holiday and sometimes we will postpone the review to another month or day because of certain personal problems like exams and so on, if any of you want me to post extra I dun mind....as long as I'm free. We'll mostly post every week starting from the 26th of May 2009 and on the last day of the year, we'll give a bonus that is a new Story, Anime, Japanese Drama, English Story Book and some extra stuff that may be added later on....
